The Lush Gardens of Maylene Manor is acrylic and housepaint on a 24 x 24 inch canvas with a superfluous pull-starter attachment.

Pull-starter cord passes through a hole in the side of the canvas, through two pulleys, and is attached to a spring. The tight canvas back acts as an amplifier for the mechanism creating a satisfying sound as you, um, operate the painting.

The dumpster, pavement, and buildings are rendered in total outsider raw art style, with crisscrossing multicolored power lines overhead. Climb in and explore.
